senior (what?!) year

I am now in my senior year. When did this happen?! I still remember the first day of ninth grade. Things have changed so much, people have left, new people have come. I've also found this year that I seemed to have misjudged people I knew in a good way. I'm discovering so much good in the people I thought I knew, and I'm being surprised. If I make it through the stress, this'll be a great year :)

This is the New Year

Alas, another year has come and gone, etc. etc.
Should I reflect upon 2009? nah, i don't think so. but I do know that I have changed. and that more is to come.
for example college stuff. I'm 16 and already filling out college scholarship applications? I guess it's never too early to do that but.... still.
I will be greatly saddened when this winter break ends. It was magnificent. All I know is I'm still going to keep the twinkle lights in my room up for a long time :) Isn't it amazing how something little like those lights can made your day that much better? I know that they always put me in a better mood.
Anyways, back to the scholarship essays and a cup of tea for me
:)

you're not the only one who'd afraid of change

I've decided to try and start blogging again? At least randomly. Don't know how long it will last :)
But anyways.

Junior year!
ahhhhhh! Its pretty awesome so far. My UTC class is okay, but the free block I get for it totally makes my semester. Homework time and adventures downtown :)

I'm not so sure about dance this year, but I'm going to stick it out. Nutcracker auditions are saturday! oh my gosh!!!! I hope it won't be too crazy but nutcracker is always worth it.

Calculus is pretty lame. I must admit. But US History is hilarious and Anthropology is probably my favorite class. I wish I knew what I wanted to do with my life, where I wanted to go to college, etc. Maybe the college trips will help? At the very least, It'll be way fun. I'm SO excited!!!!!!

I've figured out this year that sometimes I need to just chill out. Take a deep breath, step back from the situation. It's my new goal. Chill out. As Tom Petty says, "It'll all work out eventually"

resolution

okay so you know how people make new years resolutions? I've decided to do that... now. Yeah, I know it's a little late, but I figure what better time to start than summer? So it will be my list of new summer resolutions.
maybe eventually...

google blog

google your name with verbs following like “you name does” or “your name likes” and see what happens:

Ally needs rebuke.

Ally says, "run from your life, run from your life!"

Ally wants three.. ally got three!

Ally does double tv duty.

Ally hates the vacuum.

Ally asks, "where's the beef?"

Ally eats her sock.

Ally wears her bikini on Oprah.

Ally's going to explode!

why short people are awesome

okay, I couldn't think of anything to write for my first blog so I decided to write about why short people are awesome. in a list. because lists are awesome.

1. Randy Newman's song Short People
It's an awesome song! you can't deny it. even though it's kinda negative to short people? ;)

2. Short people are usually cute. If your short, then you're not that awkward weird tall kid. Who wants to be the weird tall awkward kid?! yeah that's right.

3. According to some random statistics, if you are shorter and you trip and fall, you are less likely to die than if you were tall because you don't have as far to fall.

4. You'll never hit your head on a doorway or ceiling.

5. short people are usually funny. It's just one of those things.

6.If you drop something, it is SO much easier to pick up or to crawl into a tight space to get it.

7. katey , ariba and I are short, therefore being short is cool.

8. Here are just a few famous short people:
Harry Houdini 5'5"
Queen Elizabeth 5'4"
Pablo Picasso 5'4"
Judy Garland 5'3"
The Wizard of Oz Munchkins

9. You can wear heels and not awkwardly be taller than your date..

10. You hardly ever have to duck for tree branches, frizbees, etc.
